An Indian Housewife Underwent Breast Reduction and Cannot Stop Smiling!
Since I was a teenager, I’ve had huge breasts, and after hitting 30 and having two children, things began to go downhill. I was tired of carrying my large breasts along with me all the time.
I had thought that exercising would help shrink my breasts after having my second kid, but while the rest of me shrank, my breasts did not. Surprisingly, after witnessing how uncomfortable I was, my sister advised undergoing a breast reduction surgery. While researching another procedure, she came across Dr Priya Bansal’s website and was intrigued by her approach to surgery. She said it would be ideal for me because of the quick recovery period – I have two children and a full-time job, so I don’t have much time to slow down.
It took me around one month to seriously consider undergoing cosmetic surgery, and after that time, I was confident that it was the best option for me. After a year, I was positive it was the perfect decision for me. Nothing could deter me!
My Consultation with Dr Priya Bansal
My consultation was with Dr Priya Bansal, the surgeon who would be doing my surgery, and the facility was wonderful! Dr Bansal was not only competent, but she was also very truthful and helpful.
We discussed the surgery and everything it comprises during the meeting, including how long it would take me to recover and how it works. I had several questions concerning breast reduction surgery after doing a lot of reading on my own, and Dr Priya could answer them quickly. She also gave me before and after photos, and I was astounded by how amazing these women looked, especially since their boobs were far larger in comparison to mine.
Her forthrightness was refreshing, and I valued her expert viewpoint. She told me that my form would be more adapted to a DD. Initially, I intended to go from a G to a B. This demonstrated to me that Dr Bansal was concerned about my well-being and wasn’t scared to say no.
The Breast Reduction Surgical Procedure
The day before my surgery, I flew down to Delhi. On the day of the surgery, I went straight to the centre, where I was prepped for the procedure. All of the nurses and other staff members were friendly and helped me feel more comfortable. Dr Bansal came to see me and drew over me with a pen.
Once I woke up after my surgery, I was intrigued by the drastic change in my body and therefore, I was curious to know the entire surgical procedure.

She administered general anaesthesia and she made marks around the areola region to separate the extra and unwanted tissues. She made an incision to the same place from where the tissues were extracted to eliminate the excess fat and skin. She realigned my nipple and areola and brought the incisions together to re-sculpt the breasts in their ideal shape.
Two female staff members stayed with me when the surgery was over to ensure I was comfortable. My blood pressure was quite low after surgery, which troubled the nurses, so I was instructed to drink a lot of water. The staff were quite helpful and did not hurry me out of the hospital; instead, they suggested that I take my time and do things at my speed.
After a while, my blood pressure returned to normal, and I was permitted to leave The Centre. Dr Bansal provided me with her number before I left so that I could contact them if there were any problems.
The Recovery Time
When I reached home after my surgery, I noticed swelling while having my dinner in the evening. However, it started fading gradually after a couple days. I took painkillers prescribed by Dr Bansal to assist in controlling the discomfort. A few days after the treatment, the discomfort had lessened, and I returned to work a week later!
On the fifth day, I noticed some discharge from one of my boobs, which worried me. I spoke with Dr Bansal, who recommended coming in for a consultation, but she assured me that she was not apprehensive. The discharge was nothing to be concerned about, as Dr Bansal had predicted, and she explained to me that it was due to excess sweat collecting in the under-breast area which lead to delayed wound healing. She did a small dressing and advised me the aftercare. The discharge stopped in a few days and the incision lines healed in another weeks time. During this appointment, Dr Bansal emphasised her delight with the way my breasts had recovered, which was especially exciting for me!
The effects of my breast reduction surgery have left me speechless. It has made a positive difference in my life! I’m so confident now that I can wear whatever I want.
